Biographical Sketch

 Brian K Brown is the youngest of five children, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and is married to the lovely Stephenia D. Brown.  Through this union the Lord has blessed them with twin girls, Caitlynn and Jordaan.  Rev. Brown accepted his call to God’s ministry in 1990 at the age of 18.  In 1995 Reverend Brown was given the honor and task of being the under-shepherd of his home church, St. Mark Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, Florida.  Under his leadership the church has experienced tremendous growth and has recently finished construction of a million dollar building expansion project.   Reverend Brown has been witnessed by many to be a man of great integrity, wisdom and one truly committed to God’s Holy Word.

 In December 1998, Pastor Brown completed undergraduate studies at Clearwater Christian College of St. Petersburg earning a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Bible.  In his commitment to knowing and understanding everything about our sovereign God, Pastor Brown has continued on in Graduate studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theology.

 Along with his many services to his family and church, Reverend Brown is also the Chairman of the Convention Planning & Evaluation Committee of the Progressive Mission and Educational Baptist State Convention, Inc., Governortory Appointee to One Church One Child Board of Directors, Vice Moderator of the South Florida Progressive Baptist Association and President of Congress Number Two an auxiliary within the same, as well as Chairman of Social Justice and Community Commission for the National Baptist Convention.   Prior commitments include his active participation on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and Hospice.  He was also the founder and general secretary of the 21st Century City Church, a ministerial alliance committed to winning the city for Christ, and greatly impacted the city of St. Petersburg.

 Reverend Brown received his appointment to Moderator of South Florida Progressive Baptist Association on Wednesday, October 6, 2016.  The vote was unanimous and he delivered his first sermon as the newly appointed Moderator on Friday, October 8, 2016.

 Everyday and in every way Pastor Brown gives credence to the Gospel as he holds fast to his motto in Christ,  “To Finish Well.” II Timothy 4:7.
