A Message From Our President
“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.” Psalms 115:1
Greetings in the name of our Savior,
As we begin this journey together as Deaconess, we are already experiencing exciting changes and challenges for our Association. Our new Moderator, Rev. Brian K. Brown, is bringing new structure and ideas to this Association, and has already reminded us that we are “Stronger Together.” We are excited to be a part of this new movement, and we are going to work, serve God, and continue to pray that He will keep His arms around us.
Our Moderator’s brilliant theme of “Stronger Together,” must become more than just the theme of this Association, but of this Deaconess ministry as well. We must unite ourselves together for the work of the kingdom. We must let the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me,” resonate in our hearts to keep us fearless and focused in our service.
I am grateful to God, and also very honored to chair such an important position within this Association. I will strive to be the Christian leader which He has called me to be. Please pray for me, and I will continue to pray for each of you, as we unite to do the will of God. I stand with the Moderator and his unwavering belief, that we are “Stronger Together.”

Mission, Vision & Goal
Mission
As a ministry of the South Florida Progressive Baptist Association (SFPBA), we are committed to the service of God and others, as exemplified through the work Phoebe, in Romans 16. We are dedicated to pastoral and ministry care, evangelism (sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ,) by way of community outreach projects and worship services. We will also provide Christian fellowship and spiritual leadership within our local assemblies, to advance the Kingdom of God.
Vision
With God’s direction and instructions, we pray to establish a Christian Fellowship with each other. We want to keep our “charge” as true Christian servants to God and to our church.
It is also our desire to support and mentor younger women through meetings, identifying their needs, and offering support as directed by the Holy Spirit.
We pray to be a blessing to the up building of God’s Kingdom, setting examples that others will follow, as we follow Christ.
Goal
- To bring unity, trust, love, respect and teamwork within our council
- To increase membership in the SFPBA Deaconess ministry through visitations, support trainings, workshops, fellowship and worship.
- To develop committees to support and enhance the ministry as a whole, inclusive of educational and financial support within the district.
